What to Bring
Absolute Beginners Course

a) Your own digital SLR camera/lenses and manual.
b) Your own tripod if you have one (not essential). We are sponsored by Manfrotto, hence you are more than welcome to borrow our top quality tripods. 

c) Spare battery - please ensure that your battery is fully charged prior to coming on the course as we do not stop for battery recharging.

d) Warm clothing and weatherproofs.

e) If summer, sun cream and sun hat and midge repellant.

f) Any prints/images on CD for discussion (not essential).

Landscape and Digital Imaging

a) Your own digital SLR camera/lenses and manual.

Follow On Landscape Courses

a) Your own digital SLR camera/lenses and manual with wide angle and telephoto lenses
b) Sturdy tripod
c) Spare battery - please ensure that your battery is fully charged prior to coming on the course as we do not stop for battery recharging.
d) Sturdy walking boots, sun hat, sun cream, midge repellant, waterproof jacket, water bottle as well as warm clothing (just in case!). Please remember to bring extra layers of clothing as it can be quite cold and windy on the hill tops.
e) It would be preferable if you bring along a polariser; this is an essential piece of kit that will have a significant impact on the quality of your images.
f) You might like to have some neutral density graduated filters to hand, but these are not essential. Please contact us if you would like advice on buying filters before the course.

Digital Imaging courses

On these courses, we are concentrating purely on Digital Imaging (Photoshop) hence there is no need to bring along your camera. We provide everything from materials used in the studio, images to work on, course notes and stationary. However, if you feel that you would like to work on your own images for part of the course, please try and bring them on CD if possible.
We provide computers and all materials used in the studio hence there is no need to bring your own laptops. You are more than welcome to bring your own work for discussion/feedback.

Wedding/Portrait/Digital courses

a) Your own digital SLR is a pre-requisite of the course.

b) Appropriate lenses covering the focal range of 18mm - 100mm (eg. a 17mm - 40mm wide angle lens and a 28mm - 100mm lens).

c) Tripod - we are sponsored by Manfrotto hence if you do not have a tripod, we can loan one.

d) Spare battery - please ensure that your battery is fully charged prior to coming on the course as we do not stop for battery recharging.

e) Warm clothing and weatherproofs for outdoor 'on location' work.

f) Any prints/images on CD for discussion (not essential).

Other Items

Money - most places do accept debit/credit cards but it is advisable to bring along cheque book and spare cash.
Evening dinners - all booking arrangements are made for the group and even though not far, taxis can be arranged if required. NB. The course fee does not include for evening dinners.
Mobile Phones - accommodation being located in a rural environment, not all mobile phone networks pick up a signal. The best for this area are Orange and O2.
