WELCOME TO THE PEAK PHOTO CENTRE

Our facilities are the finest that the industry has to offer. We have the latest workstations and software and our guests have access to 'their own' workstation for the duration of their course. Our tutors are hand picked for their ability not only to take stunning images but to teach too as we recognise this as a rare commodity. We only select the most dedicated, commited and passionate individuals to teach so you can be inspired by their enthusiasm and learn from the best in the industry. Our studio offers more lighting equipment than the most professional portrait studios to maximise your learning potential. If out in the field, you have the luxury of being transported in our 15 seater mini bus. Not only this, but you can relax in our comfortable lounge area surrounded by inspirational photography.
FOLLOW ON LANDSCAPE

The recent Follow on Landscape course headed by specialist Landscape Photographer and tutor Fran Halsall LBIPP and fellow tutor Ian Daisley was a great success and throughly enjoyed by all. We had Feedback left saying what pupils liked most about the course "Excellent tutors (and the) focus on taking great photographs" and "(the) hands on practical approach in the field and in the Centre. Excellent tutors and good tutor student ratio"

2009 Dates

26th - 28th May *FULL*
12th - 14th August
8th - 10th October

This course is suitable for those who have already attended a course with the Centre previously or have a good knowledge and understanding of their cameras. Two days are dedicated to being out in the field. Expect long days and a fair amount of walking, to get the best locations and at the best times of day. This is how the professionals do it and we show you exactly how! The third day is spent in the digital suite covering techniques in Lightroom breifly, but lots of time will be spent constructively reviewing images and further exploring techniques to enhance your photography.

LATEST NEWS

We have now moved! Well sort of... we have now moved the offices and the digital suite to The Spout Farmhouse. It is an idyllic location based in the Peak District National Park and the perfect setting to begin and host many of our courses. We will be retaining the premises in Buxton which house the Photographic Studio and over the summer the remaining premises will host an exhibition of work by the tutors at the centre. The exhibition will run from the 13th - 24th July Monday to Friday 10am - 3pm. Please feel free to join us and maybe you will get to chat to the photographers themselves too.

APPROVAL OF OUR COURSES

SKILLSET BIPP
The Peak Photo Centre is approved by the British Institute of Professional Photographers as a centre for delivering Continuing Professional Development courses and also by Skillset, The Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries. We are the only training centre that offers courses approved both by the BIPP and Skillset which is testament to the high standards of training on offer here. We now also are the preferred supplier of retraining to the Ministry of Defence too.
